Schedule Update - Cboe BZX Options Sunsets BOE Version 2

As previously announced and effective March 24, 2025 February 23, 2025, Cboe BZX Options Exchange (BZX) will decommission Version 2 of the Binary Order Entry (BOE) protocol (BOEv2). Cboe Options, C2 Options, and EDGX Options Exchanges will not be impacted.

Customers will continue to be able to utilize BOE Version 3 (BOEv3) or FIX protocol to interface with the BZX trading system.

On the effective date, customers using BOEv2 will be unable to log onto their existing BOEv2 ports, and all BOEv2 ports will be automatically deleted. Members are encouraged to review their BOEv2 usage and capacity needs as it relates to a full transition to BOEv3 upon the effective date. Customers can confirm their current BOE version usage by contacting the Trade Desk or by downloading a list of active ports in the Cboe Customer Web Portal.

Members interested in using the BOEv3 protocol are required to formally certify with the Trade Desk using the Certification Tool in the Cboe Customer Web Portal prior to requesting any production ports.

Once formal BZX BOEv3 certification is complete, Members will be able to obtain the following types of ports:

• BOEv3u order ports, allowing for the submission of orders
• BOEv3u quoting ports, allowing for the submission of both quotes and orders
• BOEv3u purge ports, allowing for the cancellation of orders and quotes across multiple ports for the same matching unit
• BOEv3c ports, allowing for the submission of orders across all matching units.
